Advisor to Nordjyske Medier in the divestment of AM3D to GoerTek|Dynaudio

ATRIUM has acted as financial advisor to Nordjyske Medier in the sale of AM3D to Chinese GoerTek|Dynaudio.

AM3D is a specialised Danish software company active in audio enhancement. The company’s primary software development is a unique algorithm capable of providing a true 3D audio experience in headphones.

The technology of the company is installed in consumer electronics such as mobile phones, tablets, televisions, laptops, car stereos, as well as in the defence industry, including F16 fighter jets and combat vehicles.

AM3D has been owned by Nordjyske Medier since the company was founded in 2003. The decision to divest was made in connection with an internal strategic decision to focus on its core business.

GoerTek is a global company within acoustic products. In 2014, GoerTek acquired the Danish company Dynaudio.

With the acquisition of AM3D, GoerTek|Dynaudio will strengthen its competences within audio enhancement software.

In relation to the transaction, the activities regarding the defence industry have been transferred to Terma.

In the sales process, ATRIUM was in contact with numerous potential international acquirers within the acoustic and defence industries.
