Financial advisor to Monarch in the sale to Select Service Partner

ATRIUM advised the shareholders of Monarch, Dansk Erhvervsudvikling and the management team of Monarch, in the process of selling the company to Select Service Partner (SSP).

Monarch runs 14 highway restaurants in Denmark under the Monarch brand and one restaurant named Milestone. Additionally, Monarch runs restaurants and catering as well as stores in Aarhus and Aalborg Airports and Hotel Antvorskov in Slagelse, Denmark.

Monarch reported revenues of DKK 155 m in 2006.

SSP aims to further develop Monarch with an increased focus on improving the business’ assortment and service standards, while also increasing growth. The acquisition reinforces SSP’s leading market position within catering and restaurant operations in Denmark.

ATRIUM worked as exclusive financial advisor to the owners of Monarch and ensured a successful change of ownership through a controlled auction.
