Nordic Capital’s acquisition of Dangaard Telecom

ATRIUM acted as financial advisor to Nordic Capital in connection with the acquisition of Dangaard Telecom Holding A/S. The acquisition was structured as a management buy-out with the present management.

Dangaard Telecom was Europe’s largest and the world’s second largest distributor of mobile phones with a turnover of approx. DKK 12 bn. Dangaard Telecom was represented in 14 countries throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Nordic Capital and the management wished to continue the geographical expansion, especially in emerging markets. On the product side focus would be directed to smart phones due to the growing convergence between mobile phones and other digital media, such as computers, cameras, mp3 players etc.

ATRIUM had thorough knowledge of the management’s wishes and the owners’ attitudes and could consequently clarify the case and its potential for Nordic Capital. In close dialogue with the management and the owners ATRIUM advised on valuation and financing, ensuring a successful transaction.
