Advisor to Nordlux in connection with the sale to Dansk Generationsskifte

ATRIUM advised Nordlux Holding in connection with the sale of Nordlux to the financial sponsor Dansk Generationsskifte.

Nordlux is a leading supplier of outdoor and indoor lighting for private homes. The products belong to the discount segment and are sold through leading Danish and foreign building materials retailers and specialty stores.

Nordlux focuses on design and development as well as sales and marketing, whereas manufacturing and distribution have been outsourced.

The divestment was driven by the CEO Jørgen Havemann’s wish to complete a generational succession as well as the need to further develop the company and its market position. In connection with the sale, the existing owners and Jørgen Havemann retained a 25 % stake in the company and remain to be represented on the board of directors.

ATRIUM acted as exclusive financial advisor to the owners of Nordlux and have through a broad, controlled auction process aimed at both industrial and financial parties, achieved a successful generational succession.
